Sometimes its snow when we are hunting truffles. You can admire the ability of dog to detect the truffle under the mantle of snow, with its special smell. The truffle, high quality and good size, 170 grams, was another pleasant surprise.

The black summer truffle grows quite superficial. Usually it is harvested from May to July using truffle dogs, but sometimes we can detect their presence through the cracks in the soil.

Terfezia claveryi is a common “desert truffle” in Spain. It grows below ground in symbiotic associations with the roots of Helianthemum. It is harvested in spring and the only thing you need is good eyesight to detect cracked bumps.
